What is the process for installing fibre at your home?

Every home is different, but we aim to make getting fibre installed as simple as possible.

Step one is to place an order with an internet service provider. Choose the provider you would like to use and contact them to get started. They will ask a few questions about your property to help determine what type of installation is needed.

Step 1

Plan

We will arrange a meeting at your property and discuss the best approach to get the fibre from the boundary to your home. We’ll go over the options with you and we’ll’ agree a plan with you. You can see our  End User Terms here.

Step 2

Build

Our technicians will complete any outside works required to get fibre from the boundary to the outside wall of your home, as per the agreed plan. If you live in an apartment or unit, this may take place in a communal area of your building.

Step 3

Connect

Finally, our technician will complete the fibre installation inside your house.

Already have fibre connected to your home?

 

If fibre is already connected to the outside wall of your home, getting online may be as simple as an activation from our team. This means your home has been connected before and you can get started with fast, reliable internet without a new installation.

 

To begin, contact the internet service provider you have chosen and ask them to activate your fibre broadband. They will place an order with us (Enable) to complete the activation.

 

You do not need to be home during this process. To help everything run smoothly, take a look at the tips below.

Tips for activation success:

  • The activation process can take a few days, so make sure you contact your internet service provider ahead of your preferred connection date
  • Make sure there is power to your house, as the activation cannot occur without power
  • Check you have all the necessary equipment by following our activation guide
  • When you place an order ask about an unlimited plan at speeds of 100Mbps or more to make the most of your new fibre connection
