Yes. Hyperfibre requires some of the equipment in your home to be upgraded to support its higher speeds.

Enable will install a new Optical Network Terminal (ONT) as part of your Hyperfibre order. The ONT is the white box installed on your wall that connects your home to the fibre network. This upgrade is provided and installed by Enable’s delivery partner — there’s nothing you need to organise.

Depending on the Hyperfibre plan you choose, you may need to upgrade your modem or WiFi router. Your modem needs to support the ultrafast speeds of Hyperfibre, and some older devices may not be suitable.


Your Internet Provider can advise whether your current equipment is compatible and help arrange a replacement if needed. Any costs for upgrading your modem or router will depend on your provider, so it’s best to check with them directly.
